No matter what the sewn/crafted item may be, making a label is a great way to finish off any project. Quilt LabelWorks by Designer’s Gallery includes 46 truly unique, decorative frames that can be used to customize your quilt label. A personal favorite of mine is frame (QL-33), which looks like a sheet of paper. It reminds me of school days, and I thought it was the perfect frame for a personal, embroidered message on my grandson’s graduation memory quilt.

Nothing can be easier than personalizing the label for each project. Simply choose the frame from the list and add your message. You can even select the font style and adjust the sizing, alignment and spacing all in the Properties field. Another way to adjust the size is by clicking and dragging one of the corner selection handles. If a color change is needed, select the area from the Sequence View and pick a new color from any one of the manufacturer’s many color palettes.

This program is a must for all quilters and is a great way for anyone to label all types of handy-work for future generations. Many women of the past didn’t think that their work was important enough to sign or label. Others even felt it would be too prideful to sign their quilt. Be proud!
